“A delightful little story for young readers, “Crissy the Cowpot” is an engaging
and informative 40-page storybook by Nina Anderson and featuring the cheerful,
colorful artwork of Scott Johnstone. It’s the story of how a little flowerpot named
Crissy who lived on a farm was able to help the farmer turn his farm into an
organic ‘green’ agricultural environment for the benefit of everyone. Enhanced
with activity pages, the book is an ideal little way to help children learn about
sustainable gardening and what they can do in their own gardens as a
wholesome and renewable resource to grow healthier plants in a non-toxic, odor-
free and nutrient rich growing environment. Children will also learn about
reducing the use of non-recyclable plastics, municipal waste and being ‘wetlands
friendly’. Fun and informative, “Crissy the Cowpot” is the second title in the Safe
Goods Publishing ‘Edu-enviro/health’ series. Also very highly recommended is
